Nokia City Scene is Street View for your N9, mostly works in the US where you can't get one

Worried that the lack of Street View functionality is going to spoil your impending N9 honeymoon? Fret not MeeGo fans, as Espoo's Labs outfit is here to save the day with Nokia City Scene. The Navteq-powered app looks much like a clone of Google's mobile offerings, except that it's tightly integrated with location based services (Foursquare, Facebook Places) highlighting venues your friends frequent. Currently restricted to "about a dozen" US cities and London -- with more European locales coming soon -- its usefulness may be limited unless you're a globetrotting jetsetter or super friendly with some gray-market importers. Hop past the break for a video demo, and then hit the source to get your download on.

[Thanks, Martin]

Salvatore Magic at New Hampshire

Brandon Salvatore added 229 points to his historic season on Week Eleven of the NASCAR iRacing.com Tour Modified Series (NiTMS) by notching the overall win at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Nicknamed ?the Magic Mile,? New Hampshire brought out 95 of the best sim racers to battle for the top spot but it was the point leader who struck gold with the most points in the penultimate round of the series. Salvatore?s win came during a 3657 sof race on Thursday. Salvatore led wire-to-wire from the pole in the caution-free affair and defeated last season?s champ Herb Engelhart by nearly four seconds at the completion of the 75-lap race. Penzes Siezes Spa; Sahlin Secures TMC Title

The final week (Week 12) for 2011 Season 3 in the Thrustmaster Mustang Challenge presented the sim racers with what most would call the biggest challenge of the season: racing at the 19-turn, 4.35-mile monster of Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.  A tick over 300 racers attempted to say they were the one to conquer Spa, but after a week long battle, Balazs Penzes (Central-Eastern Europe) was finally able to claim that honor. Weekly High Strength of Field Giuseppe Curri (Italy) captured the week’s highest Strength of Field (SoF) event in dominating fashion, beating second place driver Michele Curina by 13.858 seconds.  The final position on the podium was held down by Samuel Collins (Australia/NZ).  Fourth place belonged to Reuben Bonnici (Italy) while Trevor Johnson (England)  completed the top five. Weekly Standings [...]

Molina denies Green Hockenheim pole

Miguel Molina denied Jamie Green a first DTM pole for five years with a storming effort to take the top spot for this weekend's season finale at Hockenheim. The Spaniard, who was also on pole at Oschersleben recently, was the last man to take to the track in the one-lap final section of qualifying after going quickest in Q3 in his old-spec Abt Audi.
